The Elder Scrolls Online is one of the newest and most exciting games we’re currently playing. ESO is the fifth installment in the Elder Scrolls series, but as it name dictates, players now experience the game on an online server. Bethesda have moved away from their standard Single Player Free-Roam to an MMORPG. This means the Elder Scrolls universe is now open to Clan and Group play, an exciting new prospect.
The game allows players to interact with others throughout a huge free roam world, missions and dungeons. Similar to other Elder Scrolls games quests are scattered throughout the explorable world. With there being main story and side quests. As well as a PvE element there is also a PvP element within the game that allows players from different alliances to battle for areas in a free roam environment. The customization system is very similar to that of other Elder Scrolls games with players having the ability to determine race, and craft a variety of styles in terms of weaponry and armor.
Although ESO is very similar to other Elders Scrolls games, there are a number of significant differences. Due to the MMO nature of the game the combat system is often less fluid. The scale of the game means there have also been changes to the way players are able to move. The world is split up into a number of regions which players enter via a loading screen, fast travel is also more restricted, making the game more experience.
ESO is the first Elder Scrolls title to have an ingame social system. Players have the ability to join Guilds enabling them to play and interact with others, making it easier than ever to play as a clan.
